A truly beautiful grounds on an equally beautiful portion of Big Sugar Creek, bordering the future Big Sugar Creek State Park.
Value, however, is a problem. In recent years fees increases have spiked, often dramatically.
The campground offers a generously sized covered pavilion, as well as an indoor kitchen/dining area that can accommodate larger groups. While the bathhouse is clean enough, the odor during warmer months can be a problem.
Stream access could be better with a bit of work. The ramp area is frequently clogged with downed tress which don't seem to get cleared away any more. Otherwise, a nice deep hole is available immediately upstream of the ramp, and shallower water for wading abounds.
Cleanliness isn't bad, considering the age of the building.
The food is right in line with what you might expect at your typical greasy spoon. Their breakfast items aren't terrible, but I would go elsewhere for any other meal.
